Warranty Information
1. Additional Warranty Information:
In addition to any warranty purchased with your Goods, all Goods supplied by us are covered by a return-to-base warranty against defects for 12 months from the date of supply. This warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
2. Defective Goods Handling:
Goods found to be defective during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced with an item of equal or superior performance and value when a Return Material Authorisation (“RMA”) is generated. All warranty returns must have a valid RMA number, and goods without one will be rejected and returned to the sender.
3. Graphics Card Manufacturer and Specifications:
If you order a dedicated graphics card without specifying the AIB (add-in-board) manufacturer, you will receive a graphics card that matches the model/version specified. In the event of a warranty exchange, we will provide a graphics card that meets or surpasses the model/version specifications, which may come from a different AIB manufacturer, potentially resulting in slight variations in performance.
4. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from fair wear and tear, deliberate damage, accidents, negligence by you or third parties (e.g., failure to use a surge protector),usage contrary to our or the manufacturer's recommendations (e.g., in poorly ventilated/hot or dusty environments),failure to follow manufacturer's instructions, or unauthorized alterations or repairs.
5. Data Loss and Precautions:
We are not responsible for data loss and strongly recommend that you regularly back up your data. Hard drives and/or solid-state drives may be formatted or replaced during warranty returns, regardless of any prior correspondence.
6. Laptop Battery Warranty:
Laptop batteries are covered by a maximum 6-month warranty, regardless of the chosen warranty option.
7. Conditions for Self-Installed Components:
- Installing your own components without voiding your warranty is subject to specific conditions:
- If the installer's actions cause damage to the computer, the warranty becomes void.
- Using components not purchased from us that cause issues with your computer also voids the warranty.
- We do not provide support for the installation of non-purchased components or any related problems.
- We support the installation of components purchased from us.
8. Suspension of Warranty:
We reserve the right to suspend the warranty or refuse service if your Case, Motherboard, CPU, PSU, or BIOS is replaced without authorization.
9. Tampering and Unauthorized Personnel:
Any tampering, repair, or modification by unauthorized individuals voids the warranty.
10. Third-Party Diagnostics and Voided Warranties:
Taking goods to a third party for diagnosis or repair may void all warranties on the order. If you encounter any issues with your order, please contact us for advice and, if necessary, obtain an RMA number and follow the specified returns procedure.
11. No Fault Found Warranty Claims:
GSC Computers will try their utmost to fix any sent issue back for warranty repair using information provided by the customer previous to the RMA request. If no issue is found, the PC will be sent back and a charge of £30 may be applied as a 'No Fault Found' fee. This will exclude the cost of any return Delivery, should this be required this will be added to the £30 fee.
12. Software and Hardware Failures:
In case of software or hardware failure, we are not liable to replace, reinstall, or compensate for any lost, damaged, or corrupted software, whether provided by us or a third party.
13. Non-Response and Goods Disposal:
If you do not agree to return the Goods or fail to respond to any communication (email and/or post) or settle outstanding payments, and do not provide a suitable redelivery date within 14 calendar months from the initial receipt of Goods, the Goods may be destroyed or disposed of. We are not responsible for data leakage, loss, earnings, or transit damage. You may choose to arrange your own courier for Goods collection. A suitable redelivery date is defined as a working day within 30 calendar days of your response to any communication received.
